On Anunna, access to shared data and resources is organised through groups. As a PI or project coordinator, you will often want to control who is in your group and what they can access. This page covers working with groups; for the file-permission mechanics, see Shared Storage.

How groups work

Users access Anunna with their WUR-wide (Active Directory) or Anunna-only account, so their AD group memberships are also available on the cluster. To see which groups a user is in:

groups <username>

This usually lists many groups; look for the one that matches your team or project.

Requesting a group

If a suitable group does not exist — for example for a collaboration with people outside WUR — ask the administrators to set one up for you, through How to Get Help.

Adding and removing members

Group membership is managed centrally. To change who is in your group, contact the administrators through How to Get Help.

Sharing data with your group

To create shared folders and set the right permissions for your group, see Shared Storage.
