I am a quantitative geneticist working on optimal use of sequence data in animal breeding.From the 1,000 bull genomes consortium we have access to a reference population with sequence data of 1,147 bulls (Run4) from several breeds from several countries, which keeps on growing. We use this reference population to impute sequence information into our current breeding populations, do GWAS using the sequence data, and search for ways to improve genomic prediction using sequence data.
