This page explains who may use Anunna, how access is granted, and the main terms that apply when using the cluster.
Eligibility
Anunna is available to users who need high-performance computing and AI resources to support research, education or innovation. See Mission and Governance and Our User community for more information.
Access is not automatic. An Anunna account must be created before you can log in and use the cluster.
Requesting access
To request an account, contact the HPC team through Account Application Process.
Use of resources
Anunna is a shared computing environment. Compute resources are allocated by the SLURM scheduler. The priority of your jobs and the partitions you can use depend on the Quality of Service (QoS) and partitions assigned to your account. See Scheduler Overview (Slurm).
Please use shared resources responsibly and considerately. See the Responsible Use Policy for more information.
Costs
Use of Anunna is not free of charge. Compute and storage are charged according to the published Tariffs.
From 1 January 2027, internal WUR use will be funded through the Generic Research budget and will no longer be charged separately to individual research projects.
Terms of use
When using Anunna, please follow these basic principles:
- Only request the resources you need. Do not reserve more compute capacity than is required for your jobs.
- Keep data in the right place. Do not store data longer than necessary. Data that needs to be retained for longer-term use should be moved to Archive (See Archival Storage). Also, the HPC team may regularly clean up data stored in Scratch.
- Clean up when you are finished. When you no longer need Anunna or your access ends, your data should be removed from the cluster.
